KazMunayGas (KMG) is the national operator for the exploration, production, refining, and transportation of hydrocarbons in Kazakhstan. As one of the largest shareholders in the Caspian Pipeline Consortium, the company represents the interests of the Republic of Kazakhstan. KMG produces 456 thousand barrels of oil per day and has close ties with international partners such as Russia and Lukoil.
